Square jaw lines and wide mandibular borders are often desirable masculine characteristics but can be perceived as less attractive for women. Furthermore, it can become exaggerated when anatomic hypertrophy exists. Bruxism (teeth grinding) and clenching can lead to masseter muscle enlargement and accentuate the horizontal width of the mandibular border. Botulinum toxin injection in the masseter muscles on both sides can help with teeth grinding and also slim the face. While it can take up to a month for slimming of the face to occur, if done regularly (approximately twice a year), the effect will be a relatively continuous one. Onset of results: 2 - 4 weeks. Lasts approximately 6-8 months. Especially but not only for new clients, a follow-up appointment after 4 weeks is recommended and included in this service. This is when the full effect of the treatment can be expected. In some instances, a top-up injection (free of charge) will be required for the desired effect. Should you live in Central London (zone 1) or West London (in or within 15 minutes from zone 1) and wish a home visit, please kindly chose "client's place" under location, and add the £30 home visit fee under bookings.
